June 2010 Water hemlock invades the Gipping.

John on a recent trip out in a canadian double found the river choked with weed between Gt Blakenham and Claydon.

This looks like Hemlock (Water Dropwort ) which is poisonous - so be warned and take care. Trips earlier in the year avoid the weed problems which if why we do the length of the river in the Spring.
