John - Hi saw your notes on the Gipping so my wife and I ventured out for a couple of hours on the river joining it at Great Blakenham. Headed upstream for starters. Absolutely gorgeous river. Don't remember when I last saw more dragonflies and mayflies. I shall certainly be back. Thanks for the tips.

Two bridges are still being constructed across the river to ease traffic around the Stowmarket but so far are not causing navigational problems.

Work by the River Gipping trust on Baylham lock continues to progress and the diversion has now been taken out.
